H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to help clients gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with training from day one.

This in-person role offers an hourly pay rate and opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows. Availability includes evenings and weekends during peak season, with 15–35 hours per week and up to 40 hours during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
