Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. No prior tax experience is required and you will receive training and support from day one while gathering client information and preparing returns.

You will meet with clients, explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach. Availability for peak periods is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course required.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
