Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with support from teammates. No prior tax experience is required as training is provided.

You will identify tax savings opportunities and help clients with recommendations while building strong client relationships and contributing to team goals during peak season.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide client recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and advise on relevant products and services.
