H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in a local office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

You’ll explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and address questions. This in-person role offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities to grow tax knowledge through peak season.

No prior tax experience required; strong communication and client-service mindset are key.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
