Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in person at a local H&R Block tax office, with no prior tax experience required and training from day one. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building skills and relationships.

Earn an hourly wage with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows. The role is in-person, with training and support from experienced teammates, focusing on client service, tax savings

Qualifications

• Completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
