Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates. You will explain tax concepts clearly, identify savings opportunities, and offer solutions tailored to each client.

This in-person role emphasizes teamwork and client-first service as you build valuable tax and customer skills. You’ll receive training, enjoy a competitive hourly rate, and have opportunities to increase earnings as you gain

Qualifications

Minimum required: successful completion of H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
Strong communication, clarity in explaining information and asking questions
Problem-solving with ability to organize information and identify solutions
Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools
High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
Explain tax information clearly and provide client-friendly recommendations
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
Use problem-solving to address questions with guidance and resources
Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork
