Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, collect information, and prepare tax returns with training and support. You’ll explain tax concepts clearly, identify savings opportunities, and help clients understand options.

This role emphasizes problem-solving and teamwork to support office priorities. No prior tax experience is required; you’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to grow as your tax knowledge

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
Problem-solving abilities to organize information and identify solutions.
Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
Explain tax information clearly and provide client-friendly recommendations.
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
