Job summary

H&R Block in Henderson, KY is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services with no prior tax experience required. You’ll work with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and learn while earning an hourly rate at busy tax season.

The role is in-person at a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, prepare returns with support from teammates, explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
