Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate for in-person work at a local tax office in Minnesota. You’ll meet clients, gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with training from day one.

No prior tax experience is required; you will earn a competitive hourly rate and opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge during peak season and build client relationships. Hours may vary with evenings and weekends during tax season.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
