Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate in Minnesota. You’ll gather client information, prepare tax returns with training, and explain tax concepts clearly while identifying savings opportunities. You’ll work in-person at a local tax office, building relationships and delivering client-first service.

Flexible hours with peak-season extensions are available. No prior tax experience required; training is provided, and compensation is hourly with opportunities to increase earnings as tax

Qualifications

• Completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills; explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills; organize information to identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
