Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in person at a local tax office in Minnesota. You will meet with clients, gather tax information, and prepare returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and client relationships. No prior tax experience is required and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Ability to use digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
