Job summary

H&R Block in Minnesota is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates. You will explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and support clients through a collaborative team environment.

No prior tax experience is required as training is provided. This in-person role offers an hourly rate with potential increases as you build tax knowledge and skills at the local tax office.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort with digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
