H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support are provided from day one.

You’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and client relationships. This in-person role offers an hourly rate with potential to increase earnings as knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and problem-building abilities.
• Comfort with digital tools including AI-based resources such as Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
