Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate for in-person client service at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates.

You’ll explain tax details clearly and offer recommendations to help clients save money, while identifying opportunities to enhance services. No prior tax experience required; you’ll receive training and day-one support to develop your skills and build valuable client relationships during

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
