Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person role at a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

You’ll explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships while contributing to office priorities. No prior tax experience is required, with training provided from day one to help you grow in the role and earn competitive hourly pay

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
Strong communication skills with ability to explain information clearly.
Problem-solving abilities with organizing information and finding solutions.
Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with guidance from teammates.
