Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in person. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support start from day one and you’ll work directly with clients to gather information and prepare returns.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role, while collaborating with teammates to deliver excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Completion of H&R Block Income Tax Course 1.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and needs-assessment skills.
• Problem-solving and data-organizing abilities.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
