Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping including individual and small business returns.
• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Ability to collaborate within a team to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through a consultative tax experience and provide personalized recommendations.
• Present tax concepts in client-friendly language for understanding of options and steps.
• Deliver forward-looking tax planning guidance and product/service recommendations.
• Review and validate returns for IRS compliance and HR Block standards.
• Stay current with evolving tax laws and HR Block tools and training.
• Build lasting client relationships with empathy, integrity, and follow-through.
