Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for diverse client scenarios. You will interview clients, provide personalized recommendations, and identify tax savings opportunities while delivering empathetic service.

Role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with industry-leading training, and an incentive plan based on impact and performance as you grow tax expertise.

Qualifications

• Must complete H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a client-focused office environment.
