Job summary

Big Bear Mountain Resort in Big Bear Lake, CA, is seeking a seasonal snowmaking assistant to support safe and efficient operation of snowmaking equipment and power production. This role is located at Bear Mountain in the San Bernardino National Forest.

Starting wage is $19.00/hr to $22.80/hr, commensurate with experience, with eligibility for the extensive employee perks offered by the resort family.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have a calm and collective demeanor during challenging operations.
• Have the aptitude to assist with snowmaking from a remote location by monitoring and recording data from generators, compressors, pumps and all associated equipment, safely starting and stopping equipment automatically or remotely.
• Able to read, understand, and comply with documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to record data accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Able to work flexible schedules, including second and third shifts.
