Job summary

Winter Park Resort is seeking an experienced Snowmaker/Groomer III to operate snowmaking and grooming equipment, following WPRA policies and safety standards. The role transitions from snowmaking to grooming as the season progresses, with duties including pre-operation checks, trail maintenance, and communication with supervisors.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years on heavy equipment, and a CDL is desirable.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 4+ years in apprenticeship/journeyman program or equivalent operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
• CDL license desired.
• Knowledge of Winter Park trails is a plus.
• Snowmaking and grooming experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operation checkout and fueling of vehicle.
• Operate heavy equipment and groom trails to provide skiable surface.
• Maintain logs on equipment used.
• Inform supervisor of unfinished tasks and needed repairs.
• Train Snowmaker I–III and supervise field staff.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
