Job summary

Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is seeking a Seasonal Production Technician for Los Angeles, CA, Sept - Nov. You will support operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of show systems and effects equipment to keep the attraction running safely and at full impact each night.

Under the direction of the Production Manager or Technical Supervisor, you’ll monitor audio playback, fog/effects equipment, perform pre-show checks, and assist with post-show resets.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with lighting, video, audio, or other technical systems used in live events or immersive environments.
• Basic knowledge of AC/DC electrical safety and low-voltage wiring.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and service show systems to ensure consistent performance and safety.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fog/U atmospheric effects and related equipment.
• Document issues, repairs, and parts used; track inventory.
• Assist with end-of-night reset, equipment storage, and post-show procedures.
