Canada's Wonderland is seeking a technically skilled team member to support live entertainment events and productions. You will operate and maintain equipment, assist with setups and rehearsals, and ensure smooth show operations under the guidance of production staff.

Qualifications

Overview

To support the technical aspects of Live Entertainment Events and Productions

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain technical support on equipment associated within specific events and productions in the manner designed and set by the production staff.
  • Perform all upkeep and prep tasks on time and as designed by Full-Time Management.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance for all sound system, special effects equipment, lighting system, lighting fixtures or other technical components in all events and productions.
  • Maintain show quality standards as set by production staff.
  • Be involved in the rehearsal and operation of your respective events and productions under the direction of the Production Staff.
  • Navigate in, on, or around scenic elements associated with specific events and productions in potentially dark and restrictive spaces.
  • Required to climb ladders and work at heights in excess of 35 feet and lift more than 50 pounds.
  • Maintain clean and safe atmosphere in all areas of a specific venue. This may include, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning up trash, cleaning restrooms, and cleaning the storage/shop area.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe manner and utilize all appropriate Personal Protection Equipment.
  • Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures as outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
  • Wear and maintain park issued uniform. Team Member is required to provide black steel-toed shoes.
  • Immediately report any unsafe acts to the Area Supervisor.
  • Train new personnel as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Age: 18

  • Prior background in Technical Entertainment programs/equipment (Hog4 PC, Q-sys, Dante, Foggers, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for the length of shift
  • Must be able to work with ladders, scaffolding or lifts
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
