Job summary

Town of Barnstable is seeking a Seasonal (SEAS) position to assist the Shellfish Biologist and Shellfish Technician with general and technical work related to the town's shellfishery.

The role requires a High School diploma and a Class D driver's license; experience in environmental science, marine biology, or shellfish aquaculture is desirable. Certification in First Responder and CPR is desirable. Pay is $20.50–$21.00 per hour, with no benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Experience in environmental science, marine biology, shellfish aquaculture or equivalent is desirable.
• Driver's license Class D required.
• First responder and CPR certification desirable.
• Knowledge of shellfish propagation and management desirable.
• Knowledge of operating and trailering small boats preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shellfish Biologist and Shellfish Technician with general and technical work related to shellfishery in the town.
• Perform other related duties as required.
