The role requires field hockey knowledge, coaching or playing experience, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certifications. You will work Saturdays, Sept 12, 2026 through Oct 31, 2026, 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM, with a $30.00 hourly rate and no benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or playing field hockey.
• Previous experience working with or supervising children.
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate young participants in a recreational setting.

The Town of Barnstable Recreation Division is seeking a dedicated Program Specialist to lead and support participants in our seasonal youth programs. This role focuses on ensuring the safety, engagement, and enjoyment of children in grades K-7, with an emphasis on field hockey instruction. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, leadership, and a strong background in the sport.
