Job summary

The Lakehouse Resort is seeking a Seasonal Server at Brickmans to represent our restaurant during the holidays, when events fill the dining room with festive gatherings. You will greet guests, take orders, input into POS, upsell seasonal offerings, and maintain sparkling tables and polished silverware while delivering warm, attentive hospitality.

This part-time, non-exempt role requires at least 6 months of server experience, the ability to stand for long periods, and availability nights,

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of server experience preferred.
• Must be organized and able to multi-task.
• Energetic, positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
• Able to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds.
• Able to learn the menu thoroughly and answer questions.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Can perform high-quality work unsupervised.
• Able to lift and maneuver food trays and other items.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Perform additional duties as requested by management.
• RBS and Food Handlers Certified.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain knowledge of food, wine, and beverage menus and make recommendations.

• Handle cash and card transactions and provide correct change.
• Upsell menu items, specials, beverages, and desserts.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness and table readiness.
• Clear and reset tables and maintain sanitation standards.
• Fill water glasses, polish silver and glassware, and run food to tables.
• Address and resolve guest complaints; notify management for unresolved issues.
• Maintain a composed, professional attitude.
• Remember returning guests and their preferences.

Seasonal Server

Brickmans at The Links is the property’s main restaurant, serving guests from both The Links and the Lakehouse Hotel. We are seeking a Seasonal Server to represent the restaurant during the holiday season, when our dining room is filled with winter events, festive gatherings, and holiday celebrations. As the face of the restaurant, you will play a key role in creating a memorable guest experience by ensuring tables are properly set and ready for service, delivering warm and attentive hospitality, and engaging with guests to anticipate their needs. You will also be responsible for upselling seasonal food and beverage offerings, enhancing the holiday dining experience and showcasing the best of what Brickmans has to offer.

The duties of a Seasonal Server include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and a fond farewell; engage them in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional guest hospitality and service to ensure guests enjoy their experience.
• Follow all steps of service as defined by company SOPs.
• Learn and maintain expert knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage menus, along with general restaurant/property knowledge; able to answer guest questions and provide recommendations.
• Take guest food and/or beverage orders, input orders into point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to guests.
• Suggestively upsell menu items, specials, beverages, and desserts.
• Responsible for maintaining the dining area; pre-bussing and bussing all tables, keeping dining rooms clean and orderly.
• Clear and reset tables and maintain very high sanitation standards.
• Fill water glasses, polish silver and glassware, and run food to tables.
• Address and resolve any guest complaints; notify management ASAP about any unresolved guest complaints that they need to handle.
• Always maintain a composed and professional attitude.
• Become familiar with all returning guests and know their special requests.
