Job summary

Summit Seed Coatings is seeking a Seasonal Plant Production Employee to join the production team at 818 Paynter Ave, Caldwell, ID. The position is full-time, seasonal, and runs from September 21 through April 30, with an average of 40+ hours per week and potential overtime based on demand.

You will operate production equipment, assist with material handling, packaging, and record-keeping, and ensure products meet safety and quality standards while supporting ongoing production goals.

Qualifications

• Seasonal, temporary full-time role from Sep 21 through Apr 30.
• 40+ hours per week during season with potential overtime.
• Operate production equipment safely following SOPs.
• Maintain accurate production records and support inventory tracking.
• Ability to read instructions and SOPs; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely and effectively per SOPs.
• Assist with raw material preparation, measuring, and handling.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; training provided.
• Use sewing machine to close bags of seed for packaging.
• Perform packaging duties including bagging, labeling, and prep of finished products.
• Operate treater and PVOH mixer per instructions and safety protocols.
• Monitor production processes and report quality, safety, or workflow issues.
• Conduct day-to-day preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records including quantities and materials used.
• Support inventory tracking and movement of materials and finished goods.
• Assist with cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of production areas.
• Follow PPE safety protocols and collaborate with team to meet goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide support for other production roles as needed.
