Job summary

Lakeshore Waste Services is seeking a Roll-Off Driver to service customer accounts with roll-off containers and compactors, hauling waste to disposal or recycling sites. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and communicate with Dispatch and customers while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will work under supervision to improve route efficiency, report incidents promptly, and participate in required trainings.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum age 18.
• Valid Class B CDL.
• Valid DOT medical card or obtain before hire.
• No DUI or OVI in specified timeframes.
• No license suspensions in the last 2 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 2 years.
• Must pass pre-employment testing.
• Able to read/speak English well enough for directions and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Provide, replace and remove roll-off containers and dump materials at disposal or recycling sites.
• Operate vehicle in accordance with safety rules and all applicable laws.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Report unsafe situations or service issues immediately.
• Attend training programs and meetings as required.
• Improve route efficiencies with the Route Manager.
• Notify Route Manager or Dispatch of incidents or interruptions.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Maintain driver logs and end-of-day documentation.
• Keep vehicle clean and interact professionally with customers.
