Job summary

Lakeshore Waste Services is seeking Commercial Drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks and perform container pickup for waste and recyclables. You will drive under DOT regulations, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and report any safety concerns to the Route Manager.

Responsibilities include maintaining route efficiency, ensuring containers are properly serviced, and accurately handling customer tickets.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
• No DUI/O VI within the last 5 years or 2 in last 10 years.
• No license suspensions within the last 2 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must pass pre-employment testing.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks for waste or recyclable container pickup.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Report unsafe situations to Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Escort route managers to improve route efficiency.
• Dump containers and leave client sites clean and debris-free.
• Complete and submit customer tickets when necessary.
• Position containers to ensure lids and access points are secure.
