Job summary

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Region One is hiring a Seasonal Transportation Technician I to support operations at the Huntsville Maintenance Station in Huntsville, UT. You will operate heavy equipment, perform snow and ice removal, and carry out roadway maintenance tasks on state roads.

Must possess a current Class A CDL, be willing to work nights and be on-call during severe weather, and be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and perform specialized roadway maintenance.
• Snow and ice removal using snowplows, graders, blowers, and other heavy equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and maintain CDL-restricted vehicles and equipment.
• Assist with urgent roadway issues and storm response as needed.
