Job summary

Michaels in Crystal Lake, IL is hiring a store team member to deliver friendly customer service and assist shoppers with product selection. You will provide fast checkout, manage cash handling, and help unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain in-stock merchandise.

The role also involves engaging customers with the Rewards program, participating in BOPIS and Ship From Store, and following SOPs. Ability to stand long hours, lift boxes, and work evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and operate POS.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist shoppers with locating products.
• Provide fast and courteous checkout experience and manage cash handling to standards.
• Assist with truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining store shelves and planograms.
• Participate in Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes.
• Support shrink, safety programs, and adherence to SOPs and company policies.
• Assist with merchandise recovery and in-store cleanliness and recovery activities.
• Engage customers about the Michaels Rewards program and credit options.
