Job summary

Michaels is hiring for a store associate in Los Angeles area. You will help customers shop, assist with locating products, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience with proper cash handling.

You’ll engage customers in rewards programs, support omnichannel processes, and participate in stocking, planograms, and merchandise recovery to keep the store well merchandised. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting, and moving throughout the store, with opportunities to cross-train in

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, and reaching as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Educate customers on VOC surveys.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Maintain in-stock store and perform merchandise recovery and go-back returns.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
• Interact positively with team members and model company values; cross-trained in Custom Framing.
