Job summary

Michaels is hiring a Store Associate at the Eldersburg, MD location. You will help customers shop, locate products, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience. Responsibilities include stocking, training in framing, and supporting omnichannel services like BOPIS and SFS.

You will participate in truck unloads, merchandising, and store recovery, while following SOPs and safety programs. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer care, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast checkout experience and handle cash to standards.
• Enroll customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking and planogram (POG) processes.
• Perform merchandise recovery and maintain stock, including returns and go-backs.
• Complete Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs and comply with SOPs.
• Interact positively with others and be a role model for team members.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
