Job summary

Aspen Skiing Company is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager in Colorado to oversee daily restaurant and bar operations, ensuring guest service, staff management, training, and adherence to food quality and sanitation standards. This seasonal, full-time role reports to the Restaurant Manager.

The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a fast-paced service environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
• 4 years' experience in a food service environment required.
• 2 years' experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff to ensure exceptional guest service and efficient operations.
• Train, motivate, and provide feedback to staff to maintain high service standards.
• Oversee daily restaurant activities including seating, order taking, and food delivery.
• Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and presentation meet company standards.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain records of employee needs including schedules and time off requests.
• Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
• Monitor staff performance and assist with evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and guest payments.
• Conduct daily pre-meal meetings and tastings with Chef and Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction and take corrective action when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
