Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory interventions for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disease. The role covers airway management, ABG sampling, CPR, and ventilator management under departmental protocols.

With collaboration across physicians, APs and nurses, you may precept students and participate in interprofessional care.

Qualifications

• Active State of Florida licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) under Florida Statutes, Chapter 468.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire; NRP within six months for Venice Location.
• Active RRT credential with NBRC.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapeutic respiratory interventions for cardiopulmonary diseases.
• Perform airway management, ABG sampling, CPR, medical gas administration, and ventilator management.
• Collaborate with physicians, APs, RNs and other healthcare professionals; may precept students.
