Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking Respiratory Therapists to provide comprehensive respiratory care across departments. The Respiratory Therapist will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapies for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary diseases, including ventilator management and arterial blood gas sampling.

Qualifications

• Florida licensure as an RRT is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• NRP certification within 6 months (Venice Location only).
• Active NBRC credential.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate respiratory interventions.
• Operate advanced airway and ventilator management.
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate care.
• May participate in elective/emergency intubations and bedside procedures.
