Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift on a per diem basis in Florida. The role focuses on high quality, safe nursing care across patient populations, with coordination of care and strict adherence to infection control standards.

The RN must hold Florida licensure, have BLS (and ACLS if applicable), and be prepared to participate in team meetings while delivering evidence-based care. BSN is preferred to support clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN licensure and be eligible to practice in the state.
• Night shift RN position, per diem term.
• Strong patient care and infection control skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and integrates patient care based on the nursing process.
• Directs care according to safety standards, risk management, QI, and infection control with patient discharge in mind.
• Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Participates in meetings and communicates information effectively.
• Adheres to hospital and department policies 100% of the time.
• Assists patients, families, physicians, visitors, and staff professionally.
• Follows Infection Control procedures at all times.
• Adapts care to varied age-specific patient populations.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing are to all patients.
• The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.
• Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information communicated at meetings.
• Adheres to Corporate, Regional, hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.
• Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follows Infection Control procedures at all times.
• Adheres to the following environmental care standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.

Education

• Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Preferred: BSN

Experience

• Prior clinical experience in area of expertise preferred.

Certification / License / Registration

• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
• BLS Certification. If applicable: ACLS, Basic EKG.

Other Qualifications

• CCRN preferred.
• TNCC preferred.
• PALS preferred
