Job summary

The National Park Service in Arizona seeks a Seasonal Recreation Fee Clerk & Technician to collect and account for fees at visitor locations and provide guidance to guests. You will serve as a front-line representative and assist with cash handling and information services.

Qualifications

• Experience handling government funds or cash transactions is preferred.
• Front-line customer service experience in a visitor-facing role.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and inventory/restock fee program supplies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, answering visitor questions and explaining recreational opportunities.
• Operate an electronic cash register, computer, or POS system to conduct financial transactions; issue receipts and permits.
• Prepare remittance reports and bank deposits for donated or collected funds.
• Audit fee collection components and document findings; count funds and resolve discrepancies.
