Job summary

Rail Modal Group in Amarillo, TX seeks a Seasonal General Operations Associate to support rail yard operations through December 18, 2026. You will help coordinate train movements, verify inventory, operate heavy equipment, and maintain a clean, safe facility.

You will work in the Yard/Rail, Transload, and Reefer teams, perform daily housekeeping, handle containers, tools, and safety checks, and assist with loading, unloading, and documentation as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year heavy equipment operation preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with a team.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate movement of trains and cargo per management instructions.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean facility.
• Verify train inventory and container information using tablets and systems.
• Receive and execute train switching instructions from operations.
• Complete outbound paperwork for each train.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and conveyors.
• Fuel equipment and perform generator temperature checks, including weekends.
• Record and communicate safety and maintenance issues promptly.
