Rail Modal Group LLC is seeking a Driver for a seasonal role in Amarillo. This position lasts through December 18, 2026, and involves transporting containers within the facility using shag trucks.

The driver must communicate effectively, follow safety procedures, and assist with onward movement of cargo. Responsibilities include operating shag trucks, following instructions, inspecting equipment daily, and documenting sealing/bulkhead processes.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Organizational skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Effective communication verbally and by phone.
• Able to lift over 50 lbs and push/pull up to 80 lbs.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and ascend/descend ladders.

Responsabilités

• Safely and effectively operate a shag truck with or without a chassis/container.
• Execute work instructions and communicate progress over radio or tablet.
• Develop understanding of yard layout and decking strategy.
• Identify safety or maintenance issues and communicate them.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections on the equipment.
• Apply seals and bulkheads to containers and document the process.
