Job summary

Rail Modal Group LLC is seeking a Seasonal General Operations Associate in Minot, ND. The role supports rail and yard operations to ensure cargo flow, safe handling, and efficient switching of trains. Expect to operate heavy equipment and assist across Transload, Maintenance, Yard, Reefer and Elevator departments this season.

The position runs through December 18, 2026. Candidates should be able to lift heavy loads, work in all weather conditions, and communicate effectively with the RMG team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year heavy equipment operation preferred.
• Able to lift over 50 lbs frequently.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and nonverbal communication.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Support rail and yard operations to ensure cargo flow and safe handling.
• Coordinate train movements and verify inventory using tablets and systems.
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and Frontend Loader as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain equipment.
• Assist with Transload, Maintenance, Yard, Reefer and Elevator operations as directed.
• Receive and execute train switching instructions and document outbound paperwork.
• Apply seals and bulkheads to containers; assist with sample collection when needed.
