Job summary

Sierra-at-Tahoe is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor in the F&B Administration team to oversee purchasing activities for the resort.

You will work with departments to forecast needs, manage inventory levels, and negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective agreements. This seasonal full-time role offers hourly pay starting at $23/hour, with benefits eligibility and opportunities to contribute to a guest-focused operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum four years of accounting and purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of purchasing systems and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with UCC/state laws preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Accounting to collect data and perform financial analysis of purchasing.
• Make purchasing decisions by researching vendors and negotiating price and service terms.
• Oversee shipment scheduling to ensure adequate supplies.
• Conduct weekly and monthly inventories to reduce variances.
• Maintain central receiving storeroom and supervise inventory staff.
• Ensure routine safety and compliance during purchasing operations.
