Job summary

Summary

As a reservation sales agent in our Tickets and Season Pass Office, you will be responsible for helping guests with questions over the phone and occasionally in person. You will primarily set up reservations, fulfill ticket & season pass orders and help answer guest questions relating to their Sierra experience. Exceptional guest service skills and POS skills are a must.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of various rates, discounts, promotions, and comps when cashiering and processing payment.
  • Follow accurate procedures for taking and tracking reservations, both by phone and on the Web.
  • Follow appropriate guidelines for having all reservation tickets available for the next day, as well as charge according to cancellation policy.
  • Assist with the in‑person selling of ticket and pass products.
  • Make over‑the‑phone reservations and direct calls to the appropriate department as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor reservations.
  • Contribute to team effort by participating in job sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the retail store and safety of guests and employees; participate in safety meetings; accept diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
  • Assist in all operational tasks of the program.
  • Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.
  • Flexible working hours.
Responsibilities to Safety
  1. Protect the safety of self, co‑workers, and Sierra‑at‑Tahoe Resort guests at all times.
  2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  3. Report safety‑related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  5. Operate equipment safely so it does not lead to injury of yourself or others.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Previous customer service skills preferred but not required. High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Resort certification on any necessary equipment.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, talk or hear. The employee frequently uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

The employee is regularly exposed to dry/humid/warm/cool office conditions, guest/employee interaction, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
