Job summary

PATH Recreation & Fitness Center, operated by Culpeper Wellness Foundation in Culpeper, VA, is seeking a Program Instructor (seasonal) to develop and lead recreational and educational programs. You will introduce participants to activities, help them build confidence, and create an inclusive, welcoming space.

Responsibilities include planning and leading activities, managing registrations, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to facilitate and supervise group activities.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate recreational and educational activities.
• Create programming that supports participants' social, emotional, and physical well-being.
• Actively engage with participants and help create a positive, inclusive environment.
• Facilitate and supervise group activities while keeping safety and fun at the forefront.
• Assist with program registration, attendance, participant records, and other program details.
• Build positive relationships with participants, members, guests, and families.
• Answer questions and provide friendly, timely follow-up.
• Stay knowledgeable about classes, programs, activities, and special events happening at the center.
• Help keep courts, fitness spaces, equipment, and program areas clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to support programs and special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
