Job summary

Palm Valley Country Club in Palm Desert, CA is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional for a seasonal part-time role. You will support the Golf Director and Golf Professional in pro-shop operations, tee-times, tournaments, and lessons, and participate in merchandising and cash-out duties.

The position requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced setting. PGA Apprentice program interest and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with the public and other staff.
• Knowledge of golf course operations, teaching and scheduling.
• Interest in entering PGA Apprentice Program; energetic and neat in appearance.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Minimum one year experience in golf course operations or similar work.
• Two years experience in employee supervision and scheduling.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Golf and/or Golf Professional in course maintenance and cart fleet.
• Help schedule and run tournaments, lessons, camps, tee times, and starters.
• Display pro-shop merchandise; maintain appearance and sales.
• Operate cash registers and generate sales reports.
• Participate in meetings and support golf operations as directed.
• Ensure a safe environment and uphold company policies.
