Job summary

Palm Valley Country Club in Palm Desert, CA is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support the Golf Department. The role includes pro-shop operations, tee times, tournaments, lessons, and merchandising, with opportunities to assist in training staff.

This Seasonal PT position may require evenings, holidays and weekends, and offers a supervisory path working with the Director of Golf. Prior golf operations experience and PGA Apprentice interest are valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with the public and other departments.
• Knowledge of golf course operations, teaching skills and scheduling.
• Interest in entering PGA Apprentice Program; energetic and neat appearance.
• Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team; punctual and enthusiastic.
• Minimum one-year golf course operations experience; two years supervision and scheduling.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in golf course maintenance, cart fleet upkeep, and operations.
• Help schedule and run tournaments, lessons, camps, tee times and starters.
• Display pro-shop merchandise and manage sales and cash reports.
• Participate in meetings and support golf team operations.
• Maintain safety and uphold company policies.
