Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Seasonal RN for the Progressive Care Unit to provide safe, patient-centered nursing care during the 7p-7a night shift. The role is temporary for 13 weeks with opportunities for involvement across UHS locations.

The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited RN program, hold a Florida license, and have current BLS. ACLS and unit-specific certifications are required within defined timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Current BLS at hire.
• ACLS certification required at start date for certain units.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience (full-time) or 3 years (part-time).
• Additional unit-specific certifications within 90 days of start date (NRP, PALS, CPI, NIH).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care per facility policies and standards.
• Demonstrate professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Maintain Service Excellence and effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
