Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters HR team is seeking a Seasonal Payroll Clerk to support Christmas hiring. This position requires a high level of detail, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information while maintaining accuracy in payroll processing.

The role is seasonal, up to 30 hours per week, for about 2 months (not longer than 90 days). Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with responsibilities including processing payroll, entering hires and bonuses, and

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be highly detail oriented with strong integrity.
• Able to handle highly confidential information.
• Computer literate and able to process high volume seasonal hires.

Responsibilities

• Assist Payroll Specialist with weekly Bell Ringer payroll processing during the Christmas season.
• Enter new hires and rehires into payroll system.
• Enter weekly Bell Ringer bonuses into pay batch for each payroll cycle.
• Calculate manual checks as needed.
• Assist with creating and distributing weekly payroll reports.
• Enter garnishments and child support orders into payroll system.
• Provide information for HR, Finance, Officers, and Corps.
• Assist locations with payroll/paycheck issues when necessary.
