ARIZONA STATE PARKS AND TRAILS seeks a Park Ranger Assistant at Tombstone Courthouse State Park for a temporary/seasonal role. Duties include hosting visitors, conducting interpretive programs, and enforcing park rules to ensure safety and enjoyment of historical and natural resources.

The position may involve cashier duties, daily maintenance, and coordinating with staff. Hours may reach up to 40 per week and 1500 hours per calendar year, with a wage of $16.00–$17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of outdoor recreation and park management, and safety practices.
• Effective communication, public speaking, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic park environment.

Responsibilities

• Host visitors and conduct interpretive programs or guided walks.
• Handle cashier duties and process fees at admissions/shop.
• Enforce park rules and assist with safety and incident reporting.
• Maintain facilities, restrooms, and cleanliness across the site.
