Job summary

Arizona State Parks and Trails in Parker, AZ, seeks a Park Ranger Specialist to maintain facilities, guide visitors, interpret natural and historic resources, and enforce park rules to ensure safe, enjoyable experiences.

Under general supervision, you will host visitors, lead interpretive programs, conduct tours or hikes, prepare reports, and collaborate with local officials. A valid AZ driver's license and relevant experience or a degree in related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting natural or historic resources to visitors
  • Ability to enforce park rules and manage safety

Responsibilities

  • Host visitors and conduct interpretive programs
  • Lead guided walks or hikes and provide information to visitors
  • Enforce park rules and protect park resources
  • Maintain and inspect park facilities and grounds
  • Prepare reports on incidents, revenue, and attendance
  • Coordinate with local officials and law enforcement when needed
  • Assist with exhibits and displays and project work
  • Lead projects related to grounds, irrigation, and water infrastructure
