Job summary

Lane County Public Works’ Eugene-based Parks crew seeks seasonal staff to maintain county parks. Duties include operating light equipment, mowing, weeding, cleaning bathrooms, hauling trash, and related maintenance. You will work 10-hour shifts Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri, subject to operational needs.

Background check and a valid Oregon driver's license required. Experience: at least six months operating light equipment; park environment experience desirable.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience operating light equipment or in semi-skilled tasks.
• Experience working in a parks environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate light equipment and perform manual park maintenance tasks.
• Mow, weed, clean bathrooms, haul trash, and general upkeep.
• Assist with routine park maintenance to support public spaces.
• Shift pattern: 10 hours, Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri; shifts may vary.
